Technique: bamboo, glass, ash with painted decoration
We're going to host a charity online auction in support of Gróf Széchenyi Foundation auctioning the legendary Széchenyi-bow of József Mónus archer, to raise money for the Epilepsy and Neurology Center of Children’s Hospital in Buda.

The bow was made from bamboo, glass and ash by József Mónus and was decorated by artist Tibor Varga.

The Széchenyi-bow is the one which was used by József Mónus world recorder distance shooting archer in Kahramanmaras, Turkey in 2017, where he won in every category out of more than 700 competitors. The bow can't be used anymore for archery.

The income of the auction goes to the Epilepsy and Neurology Center of Children’s Hospital in Buda to support them buying the necessary equipments and improve medical attendance.

The Széchenyi-bow will be handed to the buyer at the ceremony in Hungarian National Museum organized by Gróf Széchenyi Foundation.

The legendary bow is available for viewing in our gallery. Opening hours: from Monday till Friday: 10:00-18:00, Saturday: 10:00-14:00
